About Us
At Bear & Co, we believe in building more than just spaces — we create opportunities for communities to thrive. We specialise in property development and retrofits for charities and community groups, and combine expertise with purpose. Aside from this we engage with the community and support the VCSE sector where possible, including consultations, volunteering and sharing information.
We created Bear & Co because community and charity buildings across the North East deserve better and managing refurbishment projects in the VCSE sector shouldn’t feel as hard.
Far too often we hear of organisations being let down by contractors, budgets spiralling, deadlines not being met and little compliance or safeguarding in place.
We understand the stresses you’re under; we know you’re protecting vulnerable clients, and we appreciate that trustees worry about risks and accountability. This is where Bear and Co are unique.
